Abstract

This project presents the design and development of a real-time web application utilizing WebSockets and Node.js to enable seamless, lowlatency communication between users. The system is built with a Node.js and Express.js backend, Socket.io for real-time messaging, and a React-based frontend for a responsive user interface. The application ensures secure data transmission through JWT authentication and end-to-end encryption, while performance enhancements such as lazy loading and code splitting optimize responsiveness during high traffic. Continuous integration and deployment streamline updates and maintenance. Testing and user feedback confirm the application’s reliability, ease of use, and scalability. The findings demonstrate that this technology stack is highly effective for building modern, real-time web applications suitable for various communication-driven use cases.
